About me
My name is Patty Busso and I am an inspired cook. I started cooking as a young girl helping my Nana and my mother in the kitchen. I grew up on the traditional meat and potatoes fare. When I was in my late teens, early twenties, my friends mother Mrs. DelDuca taught me how to really cook. She taught me all the traditional Italian American dishes, meatballs, sauce, pasta fagioli and many more. This began my love of cooking good, no great food.
I became obsessed with reading and collecting cookbooks. Cooking with fresh ingredients and entertaining became my obsession. Cooking and creating became my outlet, my joy! I loved feeding friends and family with tasty and inspired dishes.
I have always loved everything Italian, the food, the cities, the language and the simple way of life. My husband is from the north of Italy the Piedmont region, which very close to France. When spending time in Italy my love for its food intensified. Northern Italian dishes are so different from Southern Italian which are usually tomato and pasta based.
I have no formal training and I never really followed recipes, I always managed to put my personal spin/flavor into every dish I made. I hope you enjoy my inspired recipes and the tasty dishes you will find here. I have hundreds of recipes so check back often for new inspired recipes. Enjoy!
